Hacker Monthly's Posterous

Why Hacker Monthly?

My Dilemma
I have a dilemma. I don't want to spend more time on the internet besides working, but I don't want to miss Hacker News either.

The Dream
Then, I dream of holding a magazine contains the best, timeless articles from the web chosen for me by the brilliant HNers. The magazine should be around 30-40 pages thick, printed on high quality glossy paper. Its cover should be some kind of incredible piece of artwork making the magazine looks like a collector's item.

Hacker Monthly
Nobody is responsible for making my dream come true, except myself. Well, the next thing I knew, I'm on my way creating Hacker Monthly.

My dream is rather a PDF or kindle version. It is slow and expensive to deliver the paper version into an european country.

as I understand it you`re going for Wired or PopScience like edition. I`d rather have a weekly overview with comments and read it on my x-pad/phone when I`m on the train. Make it available on amazon/other(own?) e-store for like 1-5$ and u got your first customer.

I agree that a hardcopy that you could share without complexity would be a beautiful thing.

Electronic options should be available as well, but I'm sure that wouldn't add any great complexity since you're probably not assembling each issue with scotch tape and a photocopier, right?

...looking forward to the first issue, maybe this will fill the hole that Mondo2000 left.

I second the request for a Kindle version. Hopefully the Hacker Monthly can make the leap since the Hacker Quarterly won't.

I think this is a good idea. How much will a subscription be?
